About

Born in Germany, Bert studied photography in Hamburg before venturing to New York City in 1998 where he first began to work as a photo assistant and later started his professional career.

Since 2001 Bert has led an independent photography studio, producing focused visuals for commercial and editorial clients as well as authentic portraits of many prominent figures.

From an early age Bert was fascinated by the visual world and especially the many ways that light affects images. Based on his affinity for imaginative image production he developed this natural talent into the sought-after professional photography you see today.

By adapting to every situation and making expert use of unique studio and outdoor locations, Bert’s photographs take advantage of his years of experience experimenting with and manipulating light to capture his subjects in that precise, perfect manner.

In 2014, Bert launched 4SEE Magazin, a magazine showcasing the latest global trends in eyewear and fashion and which has become the ultimate consumer resource for eyewear in Europe with a circulation of 19,000 and growing.
