NOWRUBI Summer Capsule Shoot in Berlin at raw studios

For me, photography is dynamic. I work fast and intuitively, always hunting for that one perfect moment. While having a plan is great, I love to stay flexible, work within the moment, and improvise. That spontaneity is my creative engine.

I’m not tied to a single environment: whether it’s the focused setting of a studio or the unpredictable energy on location, I feel completely at home in both worlds.

My technical foundation comes from one of the most exciting eras in the industry: my time spent in New York and Los Angeles in the early 2000s. This intense period still shapes my work today. I draw deeply from the craftsmanship of classic analog photography, blending it with the experience I gained during the industry’s transition to the digital age. The result? A trained eye that uses technology not as the focus, but as a tool to capture something real and authentic.

NOWRUBI produced its Summer Capsule campaign with Bert Spangemacher at raw studios Berlin, exploring a raw, graphic visual language shaped by contrast, texture, and attitude. Shot across multiple sets within the studio, the series combines stripped-back portraiture with a cinematic, urban edge.

The shoot played with controlled lighting and strong shadows to highlight the silhouettes and materiality of the collection. Clean compositions meet expressive gestures, resulting in a series of images that balance editorial sensitivity with commercial clarity.

From monochrome portrait studies to flash-lit stairwell scenes, the campaign reflects NOWRUBI’s contemporary aesthetic and bold visual identity. The production made use of the studio’s versatile spaces, allowing for distinct moods within one coherent visual narrative.
